The Austin Lounge Lizards have delighted audiences from Texas to California, from Canada to the U.K., with their inventive style of satirical folk, country and bluegrass. Based in Austin, Texas, since they formed in 1980, the Lizards have honed their music into a knife-sharp art form. The Lizards' recording of the Irving Berlin chestnut, "C-U-B-A" was featured in Michael Moore's Oscar-nominated documentary, "Sicko," and they have recently been commissioned to write several advocacy songs for various consumer groups, including Consumers' Union.

LIZARDS MUSIC ON THE SILVER SCREEN!

Our recording of “I'll See You in C-U-B-A” from the “Lizard Vision” CD is included in Michael Moore’s new release, “Sicko”. Our crooning accompanies the documentary crew as they travel to Cuba with 9/11 veterans seeking health care options not available in the States. We couldn’t be more thrilled! Maybe we should come up with some songs criticizing the health care biz….Oh yeah, we did. SICKO is a penetrating look at the American health care system. We urge everyone to see this important movie.
